What insurance companys do you work with?

We're an independent agent working with all major Texas insurance companys including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Molina, Oscar, Aetna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Ambetter, and many others. This allows us to compare plans and find your best option.

Are you licensed in Texas?

Yes, Larry Fisackerly is a licensed Texas insurance agent with over 20 years of experience. We're authorized to sell ACA marketplace plans, Medicare insurance, and group health insurance throughout Texas.

How quickly can you help me get coverage?

During Open Enrollment, we can typically get you enrolled within 1-2 business days. If you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period due to a life event, we can usually help you within the same timeframe.

ACA Marketplace Plans

What is the ACA marketplace?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, also called Healthcare.gov, is where individuals and families can shop for health insurance plans. Many people qualify for premium Tax Credits that reduce monthly costs.

How do premium Tax Credits work?

Premium Tax Credits are subsidies based on your household income and size. They reduce your monthly insurance premiums. For 2026, most people earning between 100% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify, and many above 400% also receive assistance.

What are the metallic plan levels?

ACA plans come in four metal tiers: Bronze (lowest monthly premium, highest out-of-pocket costs), Silver (moderate premium and out-of-pocket costs), Gold (higher premium, lower out-of-pocket costs), and Platinum (highest premium, lowest out-of-pocket costs). All cover essential health benefits.

When is Open Enrollment?

The annual Open Enrollment Period runs from November 1st through January 15th. Outside of this period, you need a qualifying life event (marriage, birth, loss of coverage, etc.) to enroll in an ACA plan.

Medicare Insurance

When can I enroll in Medicare?

Your Initial Enrollment Period is the 7-month window around your 65th birthday (3 months before, your birthday month, and 3 months after). There's also an Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15 - Dec 7) when you can change plans.

What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a private plan that often includes prescription drug coverage. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare to cover gaps like copays and deductibles. We can help you decide which is better for your situation.

Do I need prescription drug coverage?

If you're on Original Medicare without a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drug coverage, you should enroll in a Part D prescription drug plan to avoid penalties and reduce medication costs.

What if I'm still working at 65?

If you have employer health insurance when you turn 65, you may be able to delay Medicare enrollment without penalty. We can review your specific situation and advise on the best approach.
